Website Review

I visited the “DIY Photography” website. My first impression was that the website is extremely clean and allows you to easily find what you want to find. The intention of the website is very innovative and interesting. The purpose of the website is to create amazing photos using cheaper methods, and other forms of tips and tricks. They write about what other photographers do to create photos, tips and tricks, and other articles that might interest the viewer. For example, “This is Your Last Chance to Shoot the Eiffel Tower Without a Hideous Wall”. By looking through this website you are able to find out ways to make amazing quality pictures, using cost effective techniques. In the future, I predict that I will bookmark this site when I enroll into commercial photography next year. I also feel like I would visit the website to find out new news on photography and to see ideas that I will consider using.  I would recommend this website to anyone that enjoys making good quality pictures. I would rate this website a five out of five due to how amazing the idea of this site is. It creates a platform for different photographers can be praised and showcased for using creative methods while still maintaining a sensible budget. This website also gives relevant news on photography and other forms of visual art like film. The website is easy to navigate and has a thought out layout. It is neat and does not give the viewer a feeling of claustrophobia.

On this site I learned that a wall will be built along the supports of the Eiffel Tower. This was news that I was not aware was happening to the beloved landmark. So many photographers will not have a chance to photograph such a magnificent structure without an ugly wall strung around it. I chose to share this website on my blog because I believe that the concept of the website is quite revolutionary for any photographer. Photography is an extremely expensive hobby or job. Cameras can range anywhere from 200 to 12,000 plus dollars. Professional photography requires up to date technology in order to create good quality of photos… Or does it? This website creates a different more creative point of view to change to norms of professional photography. Nobody “needs” to have expensive equipment to create amazing photos, and vice versa. Having expensive equipment doesn’t automatically make your photos into a ground breaking masterpiece. I am excited to see what this website does for innovations in photography.
