Oldest Living Things in the World

  2. Rachel Sussman did research on the oldest living things.  She had help, but she did a lot of work to get pictures of the oldest living things.  She found it very unique and on the website were amazing photos of what she found.  All of the photos had pretty colors and were beautiful scenes.
  3. Favorite Picture:

a. I chose this photo because I love the pretty colors of this photo and how it has layers. 
b. This photo has depth because of the layers of the mountains.
c. Rachel Sussman is the photographer of the photo.


Spiral Staircase

  2. In this article I read about a guy from Germany named Christian Richter. He is a fine art architecture photographer, who takes photos of abandoned staircases. At first he started exploring abandoned buildings looking for spiral staircases for fun, but years later he started to take photos of the stairs.  Now he takes travels Europe looking for interesting, beautiful staircases to take pictures of.
  3. On the website I saw many different types of spiral staircases.  All of them were unique in their own way, some were spiraling in a circle, or a rectangle, some would have carpet, and some would have a design, but they were all pretty.
  4. Favorite photo:


a. I picked this photo because I like the rails on this photo and how it looks like the stairs really never end.
b. I see this picture following the rule viewpoint, because it took the photo from a different angle compared to straight on, to make the picture more interesting.
c. Christian Richter was the photographer of this photo.



Using a Projector

  2. This article talks about how you can make moving light make an object look like it is glowing. They include some of examples of this method being used on nature and it also includes a video of how they do it. They explain how they like to do it at night to give it a better effect. This was probably my favorite article because the pictures were so unique.
  3. Video The video shows you what happens when they use the projector method.  It helps us understand what is going on when they are taking the photos.  It shows the light moving on the objects and showing it's cool effect. Tarek Mawab and Fredrich van Schoor were the people who made the video.
  4. Favorite Picture:


a. I picked this photo because I like how it glows just on the mushrooms really making that the focal point.
b. I think this photo follows simplicity, because it has a plain, dark background.
c. Tarek Mawab and Fredrich van Schoor were the photographers of this photo.


Great Portraits

  2. This article tells me about how to get a good portrait of someone.  They provided examples of how they made the photo more interesting.  I thought all of the photos were unique and different.  The tips were all very helpful, telling me how to get a good portrait.
  3. In the article I learned new ways to make a portrait more exciting.  Some of their tips are to make the model get out of there comfort zone.  Another tip is to use different angles.  Those are just a couple of the helpful tips that this photographer provided us with, to make portraits more interesting.
  4. Favorite Picture:


a. I picked this photo because I don't think most people would want to take a photo like this and it is very unique.
b. I think this photo follows viewpoint because usually someone would want to take this photo from strait on looking at the persons full face.


Style

  2. This website told me how to add style to a photo.  It provided a few photo to show how they used style.  She also gave us a couple of tips of how to put style into a photo.  I learned that making the photo kind of edgy could be harder to get, but it is also some of the better photos to take.
  3. On the website I learned a lot about style, and how there are different types of style. I read tips and tricks to make a photo stylish by putting in edginess or making it fancy.   
  4. Favorite Picture:


a. I chose this photo because it is edgy and the editing helps explain the style of the photo.
b. I think this photo could be balance because it has the stairs on one side of her and then the wall on the other.
